Central Kalahari Game Reserve
The harsh climate of this semi-arid desert has kept it pristine and unspoiled. This is one of the largest game reserves in the world, covering 2,000-square miles (52,000 square kilometres). Central Kalahari game reserve is an area of enormity; it has beautiful landscapes, incredible sunsets over the horizon above the pans, wooded sand dunes and petrified river valleys. Game density is remarkable during the raining season as the herbivores and their young ones often followed by predators gravitate in to petrified river valleys. The springboks, black maned lions, cheetahs, cape hunting dogs, bat eared foxes, honey badgers, Oryx, blue wildebeests and red hartebeests roam around this huge natural habitat.
