Booking Policy

A completed filled reservation form should be sent to Savanna Delta Safaris via email or the online platform. Upon confirmation of the availability of the itinerary chosen, a non-refundable fee of 30% of the safari itinerary cost will be required for the reservation. Upon receipt of payment, only will your reservation be made and your booking or reservation number be provided. Activities not included in the itinerary will be paid at an additional service fee.

Payment Policy

For all itineraries, except day trips, all payments are due 2 months prior to departure. All day trips, payments are due 3 weeks prior to departure. Upon receipt of full payments, a safari travel pack will be sent to you with full details of the safari trip and travel information. Please ensure after full payments that the Safari travel pack is received and read prior to embarking on any of our itineraries. Payments can be via any one of the following methods:

  • EFT
  • International Bank Wire
  • Paypal (Includes credit and debit cards)
  • Cash
  • Secure online credit card check out
Cancellation Policy

All cancellations will be in written notification via email to Savanna Delta Safaris. All deposits shall be forfeited for any cancellation made 2 months before departure. The following charges as a percentage of the tour price will be made for any cancelation within the 2 months before the trip:

  • Less than 2 months notice- Deposit plus 10%;
  • Less than a month's notice- 50% of the tour price;
  • Less than 3 weeks' notice - 75% of the tour price;
  • Less than 2 weeks' notice - 100% of the tour price.
Indemnity

The Safari travel pack will include the indemnity which must be completed and signed before any of our tours. For any other eventualities, Savanna Delta Safaris recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances such as missed flights, tour cancellation, emergency evacuation expenses, baggage loss, quarantine, and so forth

Insurance

The company requires that all guests ensure that they carry the right comprehensive travel insurance for any eventuality that may be encountered. Savanna Delta Safaris does not provide travel or medical insurance and its the sole responsibility of our guests to engage an external party in purchasing the right travel and medical insurance. Savanna Delta nor its employees will not be liable for any unforeseen circumstances such as but not limited to the following, safari cancellation, missed flights, damage/theft/loss of baggage, medical expenses, personal accident, quarantine, and emergency evacuation expenses. Guests not having comprehensive travel and medical insurance shall resume full liability for any eventuality that may arise during the cause of his/her tour.

Health

Please consult your doctor for specific advice on vaccination against yellow fever, tetanus, polio, malaria, and other tropical diseases. Individual fitness for travel should be checked prior to embarking on our tours and any special risks maybe be communicated to Savanna Delta Safaris prior to departure. Any person who is a contagious disease carrier who may pose a risk to fellow travelers will not be allowed to partake in the tour.

Wild Animals

Close encounters and attacks by wild animals are scarce but we can not assure our guests that these occurrences will not happen. Safety is paramount to Savanna Delta Safaris and our safari guides will not in their act jeopardize your safety. Note that most camps are extremely wild and not fences and we advise our guests to be extra tentative and adhere to camp safety guidelines and instructions. Savanna Delta Safaris nor its employees will not be liable for any attacks by wild animals from guests who failed to adhere to safety instructions or guidelines.

Age Limits

Savanna Delta Safaris do not have age limit restrictions but requires that individuals must be physically fit and active to join the tour. Depending on the itinerary chosen, certain camps might have minimum age requirements which we will advise upon enquiring to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. However, for bush walks we recommend a minimum age of 16, and children aged between 12 and 16 may be permitted to participate in the bush walks only if parents take full responsibility that their children will adhere to all safety instructions and briefings during the walk from the safari operator.

Responsibility

Savanna Delta Safaris has the right at any time at its judgment to cancel any tour or part of or make changes to the itinerary in the event where circumstances are beyond us to render the service as initially highlighted and agreed by both parties. In the event of illness or unwanted behavior of the guest, Savanna Delta Safaris has the right to cancel or terminate the guest booking who shall on the occasion not be entitled to any refund and shall be liable to any extra cost incurred from the cancellation and termination of his/her booking.

Passport & Visas

It is the sole responsibility of the guest to ensure that passports and visas are valid for the countries traveled. All itinerary prices don’t include visa costs and Savanna Delta Safaris and its employees cannot be held liable for any visas not possessed by the guests, nor the cost of visas.

Flights

Note that it is the sole responsibility of the guest to book his/her scheduled airline flights. We will not be liable for unforeseen events such as flight delays or cancellations or schedule changes that might affect your traveling schedules. Additional costs incurred as a result of these unforeseen circumstances will be at the guest's expense.

Baggage

Space is limited and might be restricted depending on the itinerary chosen, we recommend our guests restrict their baggage to a maximum of 15 kg per person in a soft bag. This includes all equipment and carry-on baggage.

Prices

Savanna Delta Safaris will its best to keep to the quoted prices. Should prices change, new prices will be communicated in writing and the reason for such changes will be relayed to the customer.

All itinerary prices generally include all park entry fees, accomodation, all game drive fees, all meals and snacks and scheduled transfers. Lunches are excluded in days spent in the game reserves and parks and transfer days. Gratuities are not included in the price and will be paid at the discretion of the guest.
